It hurts when you look in the mirror. It gives you feelings that you lack worth. You feel you are letting yourself and others down.

You were born with a certain genetic makeup. You are like no one else. Your genetics have a lot to do with what foods you crave.

We’ve all met people who say something like, “I don’t like sweet things”.  I hear that and marvel. That person is born with genes that don’t make them crave sugar. But that’s probably not you. I know it’s not me!

On top of that, you were surrounded by circumstances that combined to make you who you are today.   Your family diet when you grew up shaped the way you relate to food. There may have been emotional reasons, or traumas that led to your food relationship.

It’s a huge area of study, how the human brain acts and reacts around food.
