Keto is a big thing these days. Why? Because it works. It works like gangbusters…if you actually do it.

Anytime there is a “New, Big Thing”, there is going to be a bunch of noise around it. Meaning, there will be lots of people and products trying to jump on the bandwagon to make money off of it.

There is one huge area especially around “powdered ketones”. There are a bunch of companies that sell drinkable ketones. They claim that if you put the ketones in the body from outside, it’s the same as if your own body made the ketones.

What are ketones anyway?  Without getting too technical, ketones are the BY-Product of burning fat for energy in the body.

When your body is in Ketosis, the ketone level in your blood goes up.  it means you are burning fat instead of sugar for your energy. That is great, it’s what we are after.

So back to the Ketone powders.  If naturally occurring ketones come from your body burning fat for fuel, why would adding external ketones to your body do anything? It wouldn’t, and it won’t.

Ketones are like smoke from a fire. It is a by-product that comes after the fire has already burned.

If you take smoke and blow it  into a fire, it doesn’t increase the amount of heat, or help the fire burn in any way. It’s a useless exercise. That’s why taking ketones is really a waste.

So please don’t waste your money on “Ketone” supplements for getting into Ketosis.

You have to do it the old fashioned way, by getting your body to only burn fat.

Ketone supplements are pretty much a waste of time and money. Other vitamin supplements? It’s a case by case basis, and not as simple as you may think.
