Get Into Ketosis Fast
Today, I’m going to tell you something super powerful, yet really simple.
Two ways to get into ketosis really fast. They are actually variations of the same thing, but you can do either one.
The first way is to immediately cut your carb intake to 20 grams a day.
If you are extremely serious about moving fast, this is the way to go to get into ketosis fast. However, depending on your eating habits and history, this could be a little shocking to the body.
The Body Has Habits Too
Your body is really used to eating and using carbs for fuel. There is an adjustment period.
The same way drug addicts have to wean off of their habit, carbs are like that to the body and brain.
You might experience actual ‘cold turkey’ symptoms, with intense cravings and maybe headaches.
If you don’t mind going cold turkey, then start tomorrow. 20 grams of carbs, no more.
A Better Way
If you have a little more time to switch your diet over, but still want to get into ketosis fast, here’s a more gentle way that’s easier on your system. I recommend gentler, by the way.
Cut the carb intake gradually over 5 to 7 days.
Day One: 100 grams of carbs, or less if you are already below that number.
Day 2: go down to 75 grams of carbs
Day 3: 50 grams of carbs
Day 4: 30 grams of carbs
Day 5: Get all the way down to 20 grams or less (and stay there.)
We highly recommend option 2, gradual withdrawal. Don’t use your body like a tennis ball getting whacked back and forth between extreme diets. Be kind and gentle.
You can still hurry with the weight loss, but not do damage.
Start Planning Your Diet
While you are doing this, you can be planning your keto diet.
You can be looking at labels on your food and getting rid of processed foods and things with hidden sugars.
Try to memorize which foods you can eat on the keto diet, and which foods are off limits.
