Emotional Eating and Keto

This one problem plagues thousands of people.

And it’s a BIG problem. ​ It’s called “emotional eating”.​

 

Life gets stressful… so we eat with compulsion.

And then it turns into a vicious circle. ​ We’re sad? We eat.​

 

We’re happy? We eat to celebrate. ​ We’re miserable? We eat.​

And so it goes… gaining pound after pound.

 

That’s how it was for her… and it was causing serious health problems.

Until she found the final solution. ​ Here’s one woman’s story.

Her Actual Story

I was skinny once. Unhealthy and skinny. Then I got clean and sober 15 years ago.

 

At that time in my life, I was clean and began to eat, eat when I was happy, sad, scared, stressed, on and on. I ballooned from 165 to 294 pounds over the next 13 years.

 

It made me so happy to be clean, but I became miserable being so overweight. I tried every diet on the market, I would lose 20-25 pounds and then put them and a few back on and then some.

 

It seemed like I was losing and gaining the same 20-25 pounds over and over, yoyoing.

 

Then came the big slam, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in the fall of 2015. My A1C had always been 6.5 for over 20 years and in 2015 it shot up to 11.4. yeah yikes!!!

 

I was put on two different diabetic meds, blood pressure and cholesterol meds. Again I was miserable, and still ate my stresses and misery.

 Then I found Keto

I found keto a year ago and was so excited for a “different” way of eating, and lost 25 lbs in 3 months and dropped my A1C to 5.7.

 

Then my life was flipped upside down.

 

My best friend lost her home in the Camp fire in California, I began taking care of her terminal father and ate everything in site.

Weakness came and I fell back into my old way of coping, FOOD. CARBS. I gained back nearly all of the weight I was so proud to have lost. Then I truly hated who I had become.

 

In March 2019 I found Your amazing Keto program, bought it and jumped in the first of April.​ ​So proud to say that with your amazing creation, I have dropped 48 pounds (round 1 April, round 2 May, took June off, ate regular keto, currently in week 4 of round 3) I have been off of ALL of my meds since May, blood sugars are on point and I am waiting the results of my current A1C.

 

I have found a way of eating that works for me. This is what I have learned over the past few months…. that I do not need to eat my emotions. My body thanks me daily with no joint pain and today I touched the ground without bending my knees.

 

Woo hoo. A little Non Scale Victory.
